The White House remained silent Thursday when asked to confirm whether its stenographers had approved the transcript it posted of President Biden’s remarks calling Trump supporters ‘garbage,’ amid allegations from Republicans that the written version of his remarks posted to the White House’s website was deceptively edited.

Republicans from the House Oversight Committee sent a letter to White House attorney Edward Siskel on Wednesday, alleging ‘a false transcript’ of Biden’s remarks had been released by the White House and demanded that it ‘retain and preserve all documents and internal communications’ regarding the president’s remarks and the release of the subsequent transcript. The committee also requested that an updated transcript with the correct wording be provided.

Following Biden’s Tuesday remarks, which came during a virtual Zoom call with a Hispanic get-out-the-vote group known as Voto Latino, the White House posted a transcript of the president’s remarks. Transcripts are regularly posted every time the president speaks, and it is typical protocol to get those transcripts approved by the White House’s apolitical group of professional stenographers. However, the White House has not responded to repeated requests from Fox News questioning whether the final transcript of Biden’s remarks with Voto Latino had been approved by the stenographers.

Sources at the Oversight Committee told Fox News that while Biden was clearly calling Trump supporters ‘garbage,’ the transcript includes incorrect syntax that made the president’s words appear as if he was not directly speaking about Trump supporters – an argument echoed by White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

‘President Biden’s vindictive words were unsurprising, given his previous statements regarding people who choose not to vote for his preferred candidate. Unsurprising, too, were the White House’s actions after he said them,’ read the letter, signed by Reps. Elise Stefanik, R–N.Y. and James Comer, R–Ky.

‘The move is not only craven, but it also appears to be in violation of federal law, including the Presidential Records Act of 1978,’ the two GOP leaders continued in their letter. ‘White House staff cannot rewrite the words of the President of the United States to be more politically on message.’

In an attempt to clarify Biden’s remarks amid backlash over the comments, White House deputy press secretary Andrew Bates insisted that: ‘The president referred to the hateful rhetoric at the Madison Square Garden rally as ‘garbage.’’ Biden himself also published a tweet following his controversial remarks echoing Bates’ argument.

Vice President Kamala Harris, meanwhile, sought to distance herself from the president’s comments less than a week before Election Day, but she simultaneously defended Biden by noting he ‘clarified his comments.’

‘I think that first of all, he clarified his comments, but let me be clear, I strongly disagree with any criticism of people based on who they vote for,’ Harris said from the campaign trail on Wednesday morning.

Throughout the election season, Vice President Kamala Harris’ rallies have been plagued by anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian protesters, despite the vice president’s efforts not to upset this cohort of the electorate.

Protesters gathered at Harris’ campaign stops in North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin on Wednesday, often disrupting the vice president and forcing her to pause in the middle of speaking.

‘Kamala Harris, you have disrespected the Palestinian community!’ yelled a protester who interrupted the vice president’s address from Raleigh, North Carolina, yesterday. Harris was referred to as a ‘war criminal’ by disruptive protesters at her rally in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the same day and, in Madison, Wisconsin, protesters holding a sign that read ‘Killer Kamala’ were forcibly removed from the venue.

‘Look, everybody has a right to be heard. But right now, I am speaking,’ Harris said during interruptions at her rally in Harrisburg. The vice president’s response hearkened back to her reaction to anti-Israel agitators from Detroit, when she once again had to interject that she had the floor to speak – and not them. ‘We won’t vote for genocide!’ protesters yelled at Harris in Detroit.

Wednesday’s campaign events are just the latest example of anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian protesters crashing Harris’ rallies, despite the vice president’s alleged effort to quell dissent from this portion of the electorate when she decided to choose Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate over Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro. The move was reportedly due to the latter’s Jewish heritage and record of being pro-Israel.

Anti-Israel agitators were also present earlier in the week, showing up to rallies on Monday and Harris’ widely attended ‘closing argument’ election speech in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday night. Protesters, organized by groups such as the left-wing nonprofit Code Pink, yelled things like ‘Stop Arming Israel!’ and ‘Arms Embargo Now!’ while also holding banners with slogans like ‘No Votes for Genocide.’

Meanwhile, other banners at Harris rallies have read: ‘Terrified of Trump. Wish I Could Vote For U… But You Are Committing Genocide.’

While Harris’ rallies have been marred by anti-Israel protesters ever since she took over the nomination from President Biden, the frequency of these protesters showing up at her rallies appears to be growing as Election Day nears.

‘Let me be clear, I will always stand up for Israel’s right to defend itself and I will always ensure Israel has the ability to defend itself,’ Harris declared during her address at the Democrat National Convention in August. ‘At the same time, what has happened in Gaza in the past 10 months is devastating. So many innocent lives lost. The scale of suffering is heartbreaking.’

This week, progressive Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., attempted to persuade voters concerned about Harris’ stance toward Israel and Gaza, noting that he too does not fully agree with Harris or Biden when it comes to the war.

‘Some of you are saying, ‘How can I vote for Kamala Harris if she is supporting this terrible war?’ And that is a very fair question,’ Sanders said in a video shared on social media Monday. ‘Let me give you my best answer – and that is that even on this issue, Donald Trump and his right wing friends are worse.’

Fox News Digital reached out to the Harris campaign for comment but did not receive a response by publication time.

: The Trump campaign is blasting Mark Cuban, a top surrogate for Kamala Harris, for ‘extremely insulting’ comments against women who support former President Donald Trump, demanding the vice president ‘immediately condemn’ his remarks.

Cuban appeared on ABC’s ‘The View’ Thursday morning when he made the comments.

‘Donald Trump, you never see him around strong, intelligent women. Ever,’ Cuban said. ‘It’s just that simple. They’re intimidating to him. He doesn’t like to be challenged by them.’

Trump campaign national press secretary Karoline Leavitt slammed Cuban’s comments.

‘Joe Biden called Trump supporters garbage, and now Kamala’s top surrogate Mark Cuban insinuated female Trump supporters are ‘weak and dumb,’’ Leavitt told Fox News Digital.

‘This is extremely insulting to the thousands of women who work for President Trump, and the tens of millions of women who are voting for him,’ Leavitt said. ‘These women are mothers, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders, and they are, indeed, strong and intelligent, despite what Mark Cuban and Kamala Harris say.’

Leavitt told Fox News Digital that the ‘joy at Kamala HQ has been replaced by division, vitriol, and a disturbing level of disrespect for the millions of Americans who are supporting President Trump after four years of destruction under Kamala Harris.’

‘Women want a president who will secure our border, remove violent criminals from our neighborhoods, and put more money in our pockets — and that’s exactly why we are supporting President Trump,’ Leavitt said. ‘Kamala Harris must immediately condemn Mark Cuban’s disrespectful insult to women.’

The Harris campaign did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

The comment comes just days after President Biden apparently referred to Trump supporters as ‘garbage.’

Biden spoke during a Zoom call with Voto Latino, one of the largest Latino voter and civic outreach organizations in the U.S. on Tuesday. Biden was asked about a comment made Sunday during a Trump rally at Madison Square Garden in which comedian Tony Hinchcliffe called Puerto Rico a ‘floating island of garbage.’

Biden replied, ‘The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters.’

The White House has since denied that Biden called Trump supporters ‘garbage’ and claimed the comment was taken out of context.

Trump, in Wisconsin on Wednesday, drove around in a ‘Make America Great Again’ garbage truck, wearing a garbage worker’s high-visibility vest to address supporters at his Green Bay rally.

‘He called them garbage — and they mean it, even though, without question, my supporters are far higher quality than Crooked Joe and Lyin’ Kamala,’ Trump told supporters Wednesday afternoon.

But Trump said he had a response for the president and vice president.

‘My response to Joe and Kamala is very simple: You can’t lead America if you don’t love Americans,’ Trump declared. ‘And you can’t be president if you hate the American people, and there’s a lot of hatred there.’

When sharing a clip of former President Trump speaking about wanting to protect women, Vice President Kamala Harris claimed that Trump believes he should be able to make choices ‘about what you do with your body.’

Trump made the remarks about protecting women after accusing Harris of allowing criminal illegal immigrants into the U.S.

‘Kamala has imported criminal migrants from prisons and jails, from insane asylums and mental institutions all over the world from Venezuela to the Congo, including savage criminals who assault, rape, and murder our women and girls. Anyone who would let monsters kidnap and kill our children does not belong anywhere near the Oval Office,’ Trump said.

The clip Harris shared did not include that section of Trump’s speech, but began as Trump went on to recall how people had advised him not to speak about wanting to protect women. He said they indicated that it was inappropriate.

Trump said, ‘I’m gonna do it whether the women like it or not. I’m gonna protect them.’

While the clip Harris shared ended there, during the actual speech Trump went on to say, ‘I’m gonna protect them from migrants coming in. I’m gonna protect them from foreign countries that wanna… hit us with missiles…’

Harris responded to the clip, saying in a post on X, ‘Donald Trump thinks he should get to make decisions about what you do with your body. Whether you like it or not.’

Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, responded to Harris, writing, ‘Kamala euphemistically describes the act of dismembering and killing a full-term, unborn baby as ‘what you do with your body.”

‘No matter how much you like it, killing a full-term baby isn’t ‘what you do with your body,” Lee added in another post. ‘The fact that we can’t all agree on this basic point is deeply disturbing,’ he continued. ‘To be clear, most of us can and do agree on this – overwhelmingly,’ he added, claiming, ‘But Kamala doesn’t.’

Virginia House of Delegates member Nick Freitas, a Republican, also blasted Harris, posting, ‘You think it’s a great idea to allow abortion up to the point of birth for any reason. How sick is that.’

While interviewing Harris, ‘CBS Evening News’ anchor and managing editor Norah O’Donnell repeatedly pressed the presidential candidate about what abortion restrictions she would support.

‘Let’s put back in place Roe v. Wade,’ Harris said.

‘So you do support restrictions after viability?’ O’Donnell asked.

‘I support Roe v. Wade being put back into law by Congress, and to restore the fundamental right of women to make decisions about their own body,’ Harris replied.

Trump has said that he would veto a federal abortion ban.

‘LIKE RONALD REAGAN BEFORE ME, I FULLY SUPPORT THE THREE EXCEPTIONS FOR RAPE, INCEST, AND THE LIFE OF THE MOTHER,’ he declared on social media.

During a Tuesday radio interview, Mazzulla said the NBA should bring back fighting. You read that correctly. It is true that Mazzulla is an odd bird who says some odd things, but this was wild even for him. It led to numerous headlines all across the country. Listen to that part of the interview yourself:

‘The biggest thing that we rob people of from an entertainment standpoint is you can’t fight anymore. I wish we’d bring back fighting,’ Mazzulla said on NBC Sports Boston. ‘What’s more entertaining than a little scuffle? How come in baseball they’re allowed to clear the benches? How come in hockey they’re allowed to fight?

‘I don’t understand. I just don’t get why some sports are allowed to clear the benches. They have bats and weapons (in baseball). We don’t. We have a ball. The other sport (hockey) has one of the hardest playing surfaces and a puck and a stick. And yet we’re not allowed to throw down a little bit?’

Mazzulla on Wednesday tried to, well, clarify, what he said, explaining that he wasn’t advocating for fighting to be legalized. Instead, as Boston.com reported, Mazzulla said his remarks were more about the way fouls are called. Mazzulla later added, in part: ‘We have to be OK with a little conflict, that’s how I would say it.”

Even his revised comments are problematic (and actually don’t seem all that revised). He doesn’t seem to understand why the NBA is different, and needs to be different, and in many ways, is forced to be different.

Let’s focus on one thing Mazzulla said during his original radio interview: I just don’t get why some sports are allowed to clear the benches.

The answer isn’t complicated. Much of it comes down to history and race. Like so many other things in life, they are intertwined.

Let me explain. Fighting in the NBA has long been viewed as different from fighting in other sports. In hockey, it’s seen as part of the sport. The same in baseball. But it’s of course more than that.

White people fighting in a sport is just seen as different from people of color doing it. Especially Black athletes, and particularly Black NBA players. This isn’t even a controversial thing. It’s something that normal people who live on Earth just know to be true. This sort of double standard has been discussed for decades. When Black players fight, they are thugs and goons. When white players do it, it’s fiery and competitive. It’s even seen as vastly entertaining.

There was a classic moment 10 years ago when former Seattle cornerback Richard Sherman, now a commentator, spoke about this very subject in a smart and blunt way few ever have publicly. In fact, few athletes in the recent history of American sports have spoken as fearlessly about race. Sherman was once on a panel and was asked about the double standard of Black professional athletes fighting during games versus white ones.

‘It’s almost the angry Black man syndrome, especially football players,’ Sherman said. ‘I couldn’t imagine if there was a huge brawl on a football field, what the consequence would be, what the comments would be. There was just a huge brawl in baseball, a huge brawl. I haven’t heard about it since.’

Former Houston Texans running back Arian Foster, also on the panel, added: ‘Hockey, they fight every day.’

‘There was a day when they broke a record,’ Sherman responded. ‘They slapped the puck away two seconds into a game. Everyone said, ‘Man, this is good hockey.”

‘The refs skate around and just watch it,’ Foster said. ‘If we fight, it’s like, ‘Those animals.”

‘That’s the frustrating part, the double standard, the triple standard,’ Sherman said. ‘The way an athlete is viewed. The way an African American athlete is viewed in football or basketball, the predominantly African American sports. Just a brawl. Imagine a brawl happening in football, and imagine the coverage.’

Nothing has changed since Sherman said these things.

It’s unfathomable how Mazzulla doesn’t know all of this. I’m also not buying Mazzulla’s ‘clarification.’ I think what he said during that original interview is exactly what he meant.

More fights in the NBA, or more ‘conflict,’ would lead to Black players in the sport being called thugs. It would dramatically decrease the popularity of the sport, which is remarkably high now. How do I know this? Because it’s happened before.

The 1970s NBA was full of fights (and drugs) and the perception of the sport was so problematic that the league almost collapsed. The average attendance for that decade was about 8,000 fans a game. The television ratings were dismal. The on-court violence of that era was symbolized during a game between the Rockets and Lakers in 1977. Rudy Tomjanovich was trying to stop a fight when he was punched by Kermit Washington. Tomjanovich had his skull, cheekbone and nose fractured. It was one of the ugliest moments in sports history.

The self-inflicted damage by the players because of constant fighting, combined with the racism of fans and some in the media, almost sank the league.

‘To say I was not getting a great reaction from potential sponsors would be the kindest way to frame it,’ said former NBA executive Rick Welts in the ESPN documentary ‘Basketball: A Love Story.’ ‘If I could get an appointment, it was about 15 minutes of ‘Why would anyone in their right mind want to be associated with your league?’’

That’s what fighting brought.

None of this even includes the 2004 Malice at the Palace. After that, the entire player base, not just the participants in the brawl, was branded as thugs by many in the media.

The league now may be ‘soft’ to some, but the play is stunning and gorgeous. It’s a fast, futuristic sport that brings people from all over the world together.

It doesn’t need more ‘conflict.’ It doesn’t need brawling to make it great. It already is.

The NHL is taking a break in February to play the international 4 Nations Face-Off featuring league players from the United States, Canada, Finland and Sweden.

Each country has named its first six players and the rest of the 23-player rosters (20 skaters, three goaltenders) will be named a month from now between Nov. 29 and Dec. 2.

So far only one goaltender has been named – the Nashville Predators’ Juuse Saros by Team Finland – meaning 11 more need to be named by the deadline. Players must be on NHL rosters by Dec. 2 to be included.

United States

Connor Hellebuyck, Winnipeg Jets
Jake Oettinger, Dallas Stars
Jeremy Swayman, Boston Bruins

Analysis: An injury to Vancouver Canucks goalie Thatcher Demko, who has yet to play this season, takes a key player out of the mix. But goaltending will be a strength for the United States if this is the trio. Hellebuyck is a two-time Vezina Trophy winner and helped the Jets to a franchise-best 8-0 start this season. He leads the league with seven victories. Oettinger has led the Stars to the Western Conference final the past two seasons and has a 1.84 goals-against average and .938 save percentage this season. Swayman had a playoff-best .933 save percentage last season. Hellebuyck is the likely No. 1 choice.

Other options: Charlie Lindgren, Washington; Joey Daccord, Seattle

Finland

Juuse Saros, Nashville Predators
Justus Annunen, Colorado Avalanche
Kevin Lankinen, Vancouver Canucks

Analysis: Two-time All-Star Saros could get most or all of the starts at the tournament, and Buffalo’s Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen likely will be chosen, though Annunen’s and Lankinen’s numbers are better at the moment. Annunen is getting starts because of the struggles of Alexandar Georgiev and Lankinen is stepping up in the absence of Demko. Finland is known for producing NHL-caliber goalies and that will be a strength in February.

Other options: Luukkonen

Sweden

Linus Ullmark, Ottawa Senators
Filip Gustavsson, Minnesota Wild
Jacob Markstrom, New Jersey Devils

Analysis: Ullmark gets the No. 1 nod as the 2022-23 Vezina Trophy winner. Gustavsson has one regulation loss and a .922 save percentage early this season for the strong starting Wild. Markstrom has had ups and downs this season after his trade to New Jersey, but he has five wins and a shutout.

Other options: Samuel Ersson, Philadelphia

Canada

Jordan Binnington, St. Louis Blues
Adin Hill, Vegas Golden Knights
Stuart Skinner, Edmonton Oilers, or Sam Montembeault, Montreal Canadiens

Analysis: Binnington (2019) and Hill (2023) won Stanley Cups and Skinner reached the Stanley Cup Final last season, but generally Canada is considered to have the weakest goaltending of the tournament. Hill and Skinner have inflated numbers this season, and as of Wednesday, no Canadian starting goaltender had a goals-against average below 3.00. Montembeault drew a lot of talk after a 48-save shutout in the opener, but he has dropped off. He could get the nod because he helped Canada win the 2023 world championships.

Other options: Darcy Kuemper, Los Angeles, a 2022 Stanley Cup winner

When is the 4 Nations Face-Off?

The tournament will be played from Feb. 12-20 at Montreal’s Bell Centre and Boston’s TD Garden.

4 Nations Face-Off schedule

Iran and Russia are closing in on a deal that will bolster their defensive cooperation and strengthen military ties at a time when Western nations are increasingly concerned about regional wars in Europe and the Middle East.

‘The treaty on a comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and Iran that is being prepared will become a serious factor in strengthening Russian-Iranian relations,’ Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Thursday, according to a Reuters report.

The foreign minister, who said the treaty would be signed ‘in the near future,’ claimed that the deal will ‘confirm’ both Iran and Russia’s ‘interests of peace and security at the regional and global levels.’

The details of the treaty remain unclear and Lavrov did not expand on what form this defensive partnership would take.

A similar agreement signed between Russia and North Korea earlier this year was followed by Pyongyang’s decision to send some 10,000 soldiers to its warring neighbor, which may potentially be deployed to fight in Ukraine, according to concerns signaled by the Pentagon.

But given that Iran already supplies Russia with defensive aid to propel its brutal war in Ukraine, it’s not only the repercussions this partnership could have for the war in Europe that concern Western security officials.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, who once shared a solid relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has not appeared to be overtly involved in the unfolding fight in the Middle East, unlike Russia’s top adversary, the U.S.

But a report by the Wall Street Journal earlier this month found that Moscow has been providing the Houthi terrorist group with satellite data to assist it in its repeated attacks on Western ships in the Red Sea. According to the report, the information was passed from Russia to ‘members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)… embedded with the Houthis in Yemen.’

Russia has also increasingly called on Israel to show ‘restraint’ when it comes to escalating tensions in the Middle East as it launched an incursion into Lebanon and struck Iran – which directly funds and arms the terrorist organizations, including Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis, warring with Jerusalem.

Tehran has once again threatened Jerusalem with a retaliatory hit after Israel launched aerial strikes on Friday. The series of tit-for-tat attacks continue as Israel pushes to eliminate Hamas in the Gaza Strip and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi, chief of the general staff of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), on Tuesday responded to these threats and said, ‘If Iran makes the mistake of launching another missile barrage at Israel, we will once again know how to reach Iran.’

Halevi warned Israel will continue to escalate its attack ‘capabilities and locations’ previously ‘set aside’ if Iran responds with another strike on the Jewish state.

‘We did this for a very simple reason, because we may be required to [strike] again. This event is not over, we are still in the midst of it,’ he said while speaking from the Ramon Airbase in Israel. ‘I say this to you: we are highly prepared across all fronts.’

A new report from a government watchdog organization is blasting the Biden-Harris administration’s claims that it is the ‘most ethical and transparent’ administration in history, calling it a ‘myth.’

‘From its onset, the Biden-Harris administration promised to ‘bring transparency and truth back to government,’ per then-White House press secretary Jen Psaki,’ the 26-page report from Protect The Public’s Trust states.

‘Psaki also claimed that President Joe Biden ‘is committed to ensuring we have the most ethically vigorous administration in history.’ However, the administration and its executive branch agencies have often failed to live up to these high ideals, and the myth of a scandal-free administration is just that: a myth.’

The report outlines alleged ethics violations throughout the Biden administration from the White House, HHS, Department of Interior, Department of Energy, EPA, Department of Commerce, State Department and other various complaints.

In the Biden White House, the report outlines alleged ethics issues with the Office of White House Counsel (WHCO) and The White House and National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) including allegations that Biden’s White House lawyers were acting as his personal attorneys amid the investigation into mishandling of classified documents.

The report also suggests that White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has violated the Hatch Act, along with White House deputy press secretary Andrew Bates, and raises concerns about former press secretary Psaki’s ‘apparent conflict of interest while looking to leave federal service for a high-salary television job.’

In the portion of the report that discusses President Biden’s HHS, the report says ‘no agency has lost so much credibility during the Biden-Harris administration’ as HHS.

‘As it took the reins amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Biden-Harris HHS disregarded ethical and scientific integrity principles as it issued farreaching recommendations governing nearly every aspect of Americans’ lives,’ the report states. ‘PPT exposed a number of potential violations and filed several complaints against appointees in the department and its component agencies to help preserve what little remains of the public’s trust.’

The report outlines how Biden’s Department of Interior (DOI) ‘has a record of cutting ethical corners in favor of special interest policies’ and that the Department of Energy has given DOI a ‘run for its money’ with its own questionable ethics decisions.

‘Ethics issues in the Biden-Harris administration didn’t end with Hunter Biden and the president’s family,’ Michael Chamberlain, Director of Protect the Public’s Trust, told Fox News Digital. ‘Despite their claims to be the most ethical in history, we’ve documented possible ethics violations in most of the Cabinet-level agencies, including confirmed Hatch Act violations, conflicts of interest, and all the hazards that come with having a revolving door between official D.C. and well-connected activist groups.’

‘While others have found similar Biden-Harris breaches, they are not the groups and media outlets that were so enthusiastic about uncovering problems in the last administration. Just because the public hasn’t heard much about these in the legacy media, we caution everyone to beware of future attempts to paint this as a ‘scandal-free’ administration.’

The report concludes by saying many of their documented complaints have led to ‘investigations by Inspectors General, the Office of Special Counsel or other investigative bodies, or prompting letters from Congressional committees.’

‘As is often the case when it comes to government, sunlight is the best disinfectant,’ the report concluded. ‘The light we have shone on these incidents may be useful when revisionist historians begin twisting their tales in the coming years, to help expose the myth of a ‘scandal-free’ administration as just that: a myth.’

President Biden is getting hit with a resolution in Congress condemning his ‘garbage’ remarks while discussing former President Donald Trump’s supporters earlier this week.

‘President Biden must be condemned for calling millions of Americans who support Donald Trump garbage,’ Rep. John Rose, R-Tenn., who is introducing the measure later this week, told Fox News Digital.

He linked it to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s infamous quip that half of Trump supporters were a ‘basket of deplorables’ during her doomed 2016 presidential bid.

‘First, Democrats called half the country deplorables. Now, they are doubling down, calling us garbage. Democrats’ disrespect for half the country’s views and opinions is exactly what is wrong with the leadership of extreme far-left liberals,’ Rose said.

Republicans have been hammering Biden – and by extension 2024 Democratic nominee Vice President Kamala Harris – over the remarks, even forcing top Democrats to distance themselves from the controversial comment.

The White House has denied that the president called Trump supporters ‘garbage,’ and interpretations of what the 81-year-old leader said have been hotly debated.

Biden was asked about Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden during a virtual call with Voto Latino. Democrats had accused Republicans of racist rhetoric during the event, particularly one of comedian Tony Hinchcliffe’s jokes referring to Puerto Rico as a ‘floating island of garbage.’

He responded by saying, ‘Donald Trump has no character. He doesn’t give a damn about the Latino community. He’s a failed businessman. He only cares about the billionaire friends that he has and accumulating wealth for those at the top.’

‘And just the other day, a speaker at his rally called Puerto Rico a ‘floating island of garbage.’ Well, let me tell you something…in my home state of Delaware, they’re good, decent, honorable people. The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters – his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it’s un-American.  It’s totally contrary to everything we’ve done, everything we’ve been,’ Biden said.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre insisted Wednesday that he was referring to Hinchcliffe’s joke.

‘He does not view Trump supporters or anybody who supports Trump as garbage. That is not what he views,’ she said.

Biden himself posted a similar explanation on X earlier this week.

‘His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable. That’s all I meant to say. The comments at that rally don’t reflect who we are as a nation,’ the post said.

However, that has done little to stem the Republican backlash, particularly with Election Day less than a week away.

Trump arrived at his Wednesday campaign stop in Wisconsin in a garbage truck and wore a high-visibility vest throughout his rally.

Vivek Ramaswamy, one of his surrogates, posted a video of himself on the job with sanitation workers.

Harris distanced herself from the comments Wednesday morning, telling reporters, ‘I think that, first of all, he clarified his comments. But let me be clear, I strongly disagree with any criticism of people based on who they vote for.’

Rep. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., who is running in one of the most closely watched Senate races in the country, went even further.

‘In terms of what President Biden said yesterday, he shouldn’t have said it. I mean, it’s inappropriate. And, for me, I just think that kind of talk is the last thing we need in our politics,’ Slotkin told Michigan radio station WWJ Newsradio.

Fox News Digital reached out to the White House for comment on Rose’s resolution.

Police issued dispersal orders in downtown Los Angeles and made arrests following reports of looting, vandalism and a hostile crowd that threw fireworks at officers and set a bus aflame following the Dodgers’ World Series win over the New York Yankees.

The Los Angeles Police Department in several posts on X said multiple businesses were looted and property was vandalized during ‘violent celebrations’ of the Dodgers’ victory.

The department shared a video on X showing people running out of a Nike store carrying boxes and visible merchandise.

Police said on X that people in a crowd threw fireworks and ‘various projectiles’ at officers, triggering calls for extra resources.

The crowd at one point ‘surrounded an MTA bus and is attempting to set it on fire,’ according to the police department, which said the incident occurred near Sunset Boulevard and Echo Park. Photographers later captured images of a Metro bus engulfed in flames.

Throughout the night, officers issued dispersal orders across the downtown area.

Police arrested at least 12 people in downtown and the Echo Park areas, said Drake Madison, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department. Six face commercial burglary charges, four were detained on receiving stolen property charges and two were arrested on a charge of failure to disperse, Madison said.

The Los Angeles Dodgers claimed their eighth World Series title in franchise history Wednesday night at Yankee Stadium in a 7-6 Game 5 victory.

This story will be updated as more information is released.
