The NFL trade deadline has passed, but fantasy managers likely still have time to pull off a few deals to bolster their rosters down the stretch.

It might be a little more difficult in non-keeper leagues to land that big-name player, but even in redraft formats, all it takes is a little creativity and foresight to pull off a winning trade. From players who’ve just come back from injury or have favorable schedules down the stretch, you can always find some interesting targets if you know where to look.

Here are some players whose values are trending upward (or downward) as a result of their performances in Week 10:

Fantasy football players to sell for Week 11

LOS ANGELES — He’s a Lamborghini Veneno with a sticker price of a Kia.

A cashmere suit on the clearance rack at Walmart.

He’s the only player in this year’s market that all 30 teams absolutely covet.

Most importantly, he’s the only marquee player that all 30 teams can actually afford.

The name is Rōki Sasaki, a 23-year-old pitcher from Japan.

Follow every MLB game: Latest MLB scores, stats, schedules and standings.

And he is the greatest inexpensive player to hit the market since a fella by the name of Shohei Ohtani signed a contract with Los Angeles Angels.

Sasaki, unlike Ohtani, can’t hit, but, oh, can this guy ever pitch.

Go ahead, canvass all of the GMs, scouting directors, player personnel directors and scouts, and they’ll tell you that Sasaki may have the best sheer talent of any pitcher on earth.

MLB FREE AGENTS: Ranking top 120 players available this winter
DODGERS WIN WORLD SERIES: Celebrate with this commemorative coffee table book!

And the beauty of Sasaki?

He’s being posted by the Chiba Lotte Marines before the age of 25, meaning he’s forfeiting hundreds of millions, giving everyone a chance to sign him.

He’ll be considered an international amateur player who can only be given a signing bonus that only comes out of a club’s international bonus pool, capped around $7 million. No matter what he receives as a bonus, he’ll still have to wait three years until he’s eligible for salary arbitration, and six years until eligible for free agency. The team will have full control of him through at least 2030.

So, while All-Star right fielder Juan Soto is seeking $700 million on the free-agent market, and Cy Young winner Corbin Burnes is looking to top at least $200 million, Sasaki can be had for the mere price of an unproven high school or college player in the summer draft. He’ll cost no more than $7.5 million even if he waits until after the 2025 international pool opens on Jan. 15.

There hasn’t been a bargain like this since 2017 when the Angels signed Ohtani at the age of 23 for just $2.315 million. The Angels then paid him $445,000 his rookie year, $650,000 his second year, $700,000 his third year, $8.5 million for the next two years, and $30 million in his final year before hitting free agency.

It was a gold rush for the Angels, who had the greatest two-way player since Babe Ruth, and a cash cow at the box office along with reaping corporate sponsorship and advertising dollars that more than paid for his salary.

When Ohtani became a free agent last winter, the Los Angeles Dodgers didn’t even blink agreeing to a 10-year, $700 million contract last December, with $680 million of the deal deferred, lowering the present-day value to $460 million, according to MLB’s evaluation.

And once Ohtani signed, teams went into a crazed bidding war for 25-year-old Japanese pitching star Yoshinobu Yamamoto. The Dodgers ultimately landed him on a 12-year, $325 million contract, with at least six clubs willing to pay close to the Dodgers’ final offer, or even more.

This time, the cost of doing business is pocket change, with all 30 teams working during the weekend to come up with their finest SEC-style recruiting pitches while trying to convince Sasaki should come to their place.

The Dodgers, who have become Japan’s most beloved team and have the current largest international bonus pool of $2.5 million, certainly are the heavy favorites. There were unfounded rumors that a deal was worked out with the Dodgers and Sasaki nearly a year ago, which has been vehemently denied by the Dodgers and Sasaki’s agent, Joel Wolfe.

No decision has been made and if teams really believed that the deal was done, nearly every team in baseball wouldn’t have bothered sending their front office to Japan over the summer to see him, with the New York Yankees and New York Mets making him a priority.

If it was a slam dunk Sasaki was coming, then why did Andrew Friedman, Dodgers president of baseball operations, and Galen Carr, Dodgers vice president of player personnel, make sure to make another trip to Japan to see Sasaki even at the start of the postseason?

Several teams are holding out hope, particularly, the San Diego Padres. Sasaki’s mentor happens to be Yu Darvish of the Padres, who frequently advises Japanese players on their choices when they come over to the United States. Surely, Darvish will be reminding Sasaki that the Padres were the Dodgers’ greatest threat on their World Series run in October, and who wouldn’t want to be forever remembered being on the first team in Padres franchise history to win a World Series?

“The respect he has from the Japanese players is pretty incredible,’ Jed Hoyer, Chicago Cubs president of baseball operations, said of Darvish last summer. “When you talk to them, who he was as a pitcher in Japan, the way he made the transition, the success he’s had, but also how he carries himself. I think he really, really likes to mentor guys. I think that’s a big part of it. I really have a ton of respect for him.”

Sasaki is not expected to tip his hand, and it remains unknown when he’ll actually be posted – which will begin a 45-day process in which he must sign.

His lone statement was issued by the Chiba Lotte Marines on X:

“I am very grateful to the team for officially allowing me to post,’ Sasaki said. “There were many things that did not go well during my five years with the Marines, but I was able to get to this point by concentrating only on baseball, with the support of my teammates, staff, front office, and fans. I will do my best to work my way up from my minor contract to become the best player in the world, so that I will have no regrets in my one and only baseball career and live up to the expectations of everyone who has supported me.’

Let the recruiting begin for the young man who helped lead Japan, along with Ohtani and Yamamoto, to the World Baseball Classic title over the U.S. in 2023.

“It’s a big blow for the team, of course,’ Chiba Lotte manager Masato Yoshii said on X. “However, I’ve played in America myself, so I understand how he feels. I also understand his desire to take on the challenge now that he’s young.

“To be honest, he still has a lot to learn, but I think he’ll be able to hone himself and improve his level in America. When I saw him pitch for the first time … it was the biggest shock I’ve seen since I first saw Hideo Nomo. I want him to prove that over there.’

Sasaki, 6-foot-2, 187 pounds, nicknamed “The Monster of the Reiwa Era,’ is coming off an injured-riddled season with a strained oblique and shoulder fatigue that limited him to just 110 innings, going 10-5 with a 2.35 ERA, striking out 129 batters. Still, he throws a 102-mph fastball with a devastating split-finger and a powerful slider.

He has never pitched more than 129⅓ innings in a season, but was dominant when healthy, yielding a career 2.10 ERA, striking out 505 over 64 starts, spanning 394⅔ innings in Japan.

He became an international star in Japan five years ago during their national high school baseball tournament when he threw a 12-inning, 194-pitch complete game, striking out 21 batters. He also threw a perfect game in 2022, striking out 19, and had another perfect game through eight innings in his next start being pulled.

“He’s a unique talent,” David Stearns, New York Mets president of baseball operations, said at the GM meetings. “He’s 23 and throws 100 [mph] and a nasty splitter.”

Now, the recruiting pitches will officially begin, with Dodgers manager Dave Roberts even being asked during their postseason run whether the Dodgers will have an advantage considering the popularity of the Dodgers’ brand in Japan.

“I hope so,’ Roberts said, “absolutely.’

Ladies and gentlemen, start your sales talks.

The Pittsburgh Steelers (7-2) notched their seventh win of the season in Week 10. The Steelers took down the Washington Commanders 28-27 for their fourth consecutive win.

Jayden Daniels and the Commanders (7-3) squandered a 24-14 lead as Mike Tomlin improved to 26-6 when facing a rookie QB. The No. 2 overall pick finished 17 of 34 for 202 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He also had the worst rushing output of his rookie campaign, finishing with a meager 5 yards on three carries.

After the win, Tomlin was asked about the similarities between Daniels and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.

‘Man, be real slow comparing people to Lamar Jackson,’ Tomlin said. ‘That’s a multi-time MVP. That’s Mr. Jackson. We’ll see Mr. Jackson in a few days.’

In recent NFL history, quarterbacks have entered the league and made an immediate impact in the running game. This generation of signal-callers has redefined the position and the expectations. Jackson is the reigning MVP and is the current odds-on favorite to win the award for the third time in his career in 2024. Jackson also won MVP honors in 2019.

NFL STATS CENTRAL: The latest NFL scores, schedules, odds, stats and more.

Last season, Jackson led the Ravens to the best record in the NFL at 13-4. Since the start of last season, Jackson has had Baltimore alongside the Kansas City Chiefs as the two top teams in the AFC.

Daniels has displayed his dual-threat abilities throughout the first half of his rookie campaign. The 2024 No. 2 overall pick has rushed for 464 yards in the first 10 games of his NFL career, which puts him on pace for 788 rushing yards this season. If he keeps that up, he’ll surpass Jackson’s 695 rushing yards during his rookie season. He also has the Commanders in a position to contend for a playoff spot in the NFC, something they haven’t accomplished since 2020.

Pittsburgh leads the AFC North heading into its Week 11 meeting at home against the Baltimore Ravens (7-3). Tomlin is one of the few coaches who have succeeded against Jackson. He has a 4-2 record facing the two-time MVP. The Steelers are 10-2 during their past 12 regular-season games.

Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta suffered an injury in the third quarter against the Houston Texans in Week 10 on ‘Sunday Night Football.’

The star tight end exited the game and entered the blue medical tent on the Lions sideline with an apparent shoulder injury. He never returned to the game.

A prolonged absence for LaPorta would result in a significant loss for the Lions’ offense. After a slow start following his tremendous rookie campaign, he has scored a touchdown in three of the last five games.

Here’s the latest on the Lion’s tight end’s status:

Sam LaPorta injury update

Sam LaPorta exited the game early in the third quarter. According to head coach Dan Campbell, LaPorta tried returning to the game, but the shoulder didn’t feel right.

NFL STATS CENTRAL: The latest NFL scores, schedules, odds, stats and more.

The second-year tight end declined interviews after the game and was the last one out of the locker room after needing X-rays. He was seen wearing a sling after the game.

Campbell spoke to reporters after the win, ‘It’s not something like he’s gonna be out for weeks. It’s like, maybe, he’ll miss this week, we’ll see,’ he said. ‘He’s got a little sprain in here, kinda the AC joint.’

The Lions host the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 11, and LaPorta’s status is up in the air.

When was Sam LaPorta injured?

LaPorta’s injury was overlooked during the Lions’ historic comeback over the Texans and Jake Bates’ heroics. It appeared to have occurred at the 12:30 mark in the third quarter.

LaPorta and Jared Goff connected on a 37-yard completion, during which the tight end landed hard on his shoulder while safety Erick Murray tackled him on the Texans’ 3-yard line. He never showed signs of injury after the grab, but the team ruled him out after examining him on the sideline.

Sam LaPorta stats

LaPorta was having one of his best games of the season before the injury. He finished with three catches for 66 yards and a touchdown. He has 25 catches for 366 yards and three touchdowns on the season.

The Miami Dolphins are back in prime time in Week 10 for a ‘Monday Night Football’ matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.

Both teams had their bye in Week 6 but have gone in very different directions since then. Miami’s lost three in a row by just 10 points combined, while the Rams have won three straight as their offense has key players return from injury, including wide receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua.

One of the players tasked with covering those wideouts is a former Rams All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey. The nine-year veteran made his seventh Pro Bowl last season and hasn’t fallen off this year, ranking as the top defensive back on the Dolphins this season per Sports Info Solutions (SIS) data.

This is the first time Ramsey’s facing the team he won a Super Bowl with in 2021. Here’s how he went from Los Angeles to South Beach.

Why was Jalen Ramsey traded?

NFL STATS CENTRAL: The latest NFL scores, schedules, odds, stats and more.

“I think what the big picture is this year, different than probably the past five years for us, we definitely have to engineer a healthier cap situation just because, obviously, we’re not in a luxury tax situation,’ Snead said in March 2023.

“There will be a need to develop and go with some younger guys through the draft and undrafted free agency, and have a little bit different approach,” Rams coach Sean McVay said at the time.

In the same month Ramsey was traded, Los Angeles released leading pass rusher Leonard Floyd, wide receiver Allen Robinson II, and linebacker Bobby Wagner.

Jalen Ramsey trade details

Los Angeles traded Ramsey to the Dolphins for tight end Hunter Long and a third-round pick that was used to select defensive end Byron Young at No. 77 overall.

Long has played in 12 games with Los Angeles and has five catches for 32 yards. Young had eight sacks as a rookie last season, tied for second-most on the team, and has four this year.

Both Ramsey and Rams coaches have praised each other ahead of the game.

‘Both (Ramsey and wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.) left a big impact on me and this place,’ McVay said Saturday. ‘Jaylen was here from 2019 to a couple years ago… still keep in touch with those guys, they mean a lot to me.’

‘It’s going to be a great moment,’ Ramsey told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. ‘I’ll try to keep my emotions intact so I can focus on the task at hand. Try to go in there, get a win no matter what.”

Jalen Ramsey contract

Before the 2024 NFL season, Miami signed Ramsey to a record three-year, $72.3 million extension:

Length: 3 years
Total money: $72.3 million
Average annual value: $24.1 million
Guaranteed money: $23.24 million

That deal makes Ramsey the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL and can keep him on the team through 2028.

Here are his cap hits for the duration of the deal, per OverTheCap:

2024: $7.95 million
2025: $16.66 million
2026: $25.03 million
2027: $26.8 million
2028: $36.16 million
2029 (void year): $12.35 million

The Dolphins can cut him and save money (higher cap savings than dead money) against the salary cap starting in 2028. They can trade him and save money only as a post-June 1 trade starting in 2026.

Jalen Ramsey stats

In 2024, Ramsey has started all eight games for Los Angeles and has 29 tackles, four tackles for loss, four passes defensed, and one interception.

Jalen Ramsey career stats

Ramsey has played for three teams across nine seasons: the Jacksonville Jaguars (2016-19), Rams (2019-22), and Dolphins (2023-24). Here’s how his career stats and awards look entering Week 10 of the 2024 NFL season:

Interceptions: 23
Passes defended: 101
Forced fumbles: 6
Fumble recoveries: 2
Sacks: 2.0
Tackles: 503
3x first-team All-Pro (2017, 2020, 2021)
7x Pro Bowl (2017-19, 2020-23)

Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., will reportedly meet with Israeli President Isaac Herzog when he visits the nation’s capital on Tuesday after President-elect Donald Trump named the House Republican Conference chair to be his next U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.

Herzog is expected to meet with multiple high-profile lawmakers in D.C. Tuesday, including President Biden, Sen. Lindsey Graham and Stefanik, his office told The Times of Israel. The meeting with Stefanik comes shortly after Trump said she would be his next ambassador to the United Nations.

On Monday, Trump confirmed reports that he would be nominating the GOP conference chairwoman to be his next U.N. ambassador, noting how she ‘is an incredibly strong, tough, and smart America First fighter.’

Stefanik, the top Republican in the House of Representatives, is also a firm supporter of Israel and has been a leading voice challenging the rising tide of antisemitism on college campuses following the tragic Hamas massacre of innocent Israelis on Oct. 7, 2023.

Stefanik, for example, made headlines last year after pressing the presidents of three of the nation’s most prestigious colleges to share whether they thought ‘calling for the genocide of Jews’ was against their codes of conduct. Eventually, pressure from Stefanik and other GOP leaders resulted in the presidents of Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania resigning.

‘The work ahead is immense as we see antisemitism skyrocketing coupled with four years of catastrophically weak US leadership that significantly weakened our national security and diminished our standing in the eyes of both allies and adversaries,’ Stefanik said in a statement Monday to Fox News Digital after it reached out to confirm her meeting with Herzog, which Stefanik’s spokespeople did not acknowledge.

‘I stand ready to advance President Donald J. Trump’s restoration of America First peace through strength leadership on the world stage on Day One at the United Nations,’ the future UN ambassador added.

Stefanik will be the first major policymaker to meet with Herzog on Tuesday, with their meeting scheduled at 9 a.m. EST, The Times of Israel reported.

Herzog will then reportedly meet with Graham and Biden afterward.

A spokesperson for Graham told Fox News Digital that their meeting was ‘not yet confirmed’ but that they were working out scheduling.

Herzog’s visit to the U.S. comes amid the Jewish Federations of North America’s General Assembly, held Sunday through Tuesday in the nation’s capital, during which Herzog will be a keynote speaker.

Fox News Digital reached out to representatives for Stefanik and Herzog but did not hear back prior to publication time.

Two blue state Democrats in Congress issued blistering assessments of where their party stands after Tuesday night’s overwhelming election defeat and offered suggestions about changes that Democrats need to make.

‘That was a cataclysm,’ Connecticut Sen. Chis Murphy posted on X. ‘Electoral map wipeout. Senate D practical ceiling is now 52 seats. R’s is 62.’

‘Time to rebuild the left,’ Murphy wrote. ‘We are out of touch with the crisis of meaning/purpose fueling MAGA. We refuse to pick big fights. Our tent is too small.’

In a lengthy X thread that had more than 7 million views on Monday morning, Murphy said Democrats ‘don’t listen enough; we tell people what’s good for them’ and skip ‘past the way people are feeling (alone, impotent, overwhelmed) and straight to uninspiring solutions (more roads! bulk drug purchasing!) that do little to actually upset the status quo of who has power and who doesn’t.’

Murphy acknowledged a disconnect between everyday working class voters and the ‘elites’ and suggested the party needs to more openly embrace candidates who reject the status quo.

‘And when progressives like Bernie aggressively go after the elites that hold people down, they are shunned as dangerous populists,’ Murphy wrote. ‘Why? Maybe because true economic populism is bad for our high-income base.’

‘We cannot be afraid of fights – especially with the economic elites who have profited off neoliberalism. The right regularly picks fights with elites – Hollywood, higher ed, etc. Democrats (e.g. the Harris campaign) are tepid in our fights with billionaires and corporations.’

Murphy told his followers that ‘real economic populism should be our tentpole.’

‘Those are hard things for the left,’ Murphy wrote in the final post of the thread. ‘A firm break with neoliberalism. Listen to poor and rural people, men in crisis. Don’t decide for them. Pick fights. Embrace populism. Build a big tent. Be less judgmental. But we are beyond small fixes.’

New York Democrat Rep. Pat Ryan, who won re-election in New York’s 18th Congressional District despite the red wave that swept across most of the country, also put forward a post-mortem on social media that was seen by millions of users.

‘First and foremost, if you’re using the words ‘moderate’ or ‘progressive’ you’re missing the whole f***ing point,’ Ryan wrote on X. ‘It’s not ideological. It’s about who fights for the people vs. who further empowers and enables the elites.’

Ryan explained his take on why he was able to win as a Democrat in a pro-Republican climate and said he ‘put affordability front and center every day.’

‘Most importantly, I told folks exactly who it was that was ripping them off, and I grounded it locally. It’s the billionaires and big corporations making record-breaking profits while the rest of us struggle.’

Ryan wrote, ‘It’s not enough to throw these seemingly disparate policies at people. We must articulate a unifying principle, and clearly tell folks who’s at fault.  For me, it was Freedom. and Patriotism. And the fault lies with the same elites, in both parties, who’ve run this country for far too long.’

Various camps within the Democratic Party have been pointing fingers at each other Democrat presidential candidate Vice President Harris’ loss to President-elect Donald Trump last week.

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders pinned blame for the loss on the Democratic Party for ‘abandoning’ the working class, sparking a rebuke from former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

‘It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them. While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change,’ Sanders posted to X last week, accompanied by a press release on the election results. ‘And they’re right.’

Pelosi responded that the party has not left the working class behind in favor of kowtowing to ‘big-money interests and well-paid consultants who control the Democratic Party,’ as Sanders had argued in his press release.

‘With all due respect, and I have a great deal of respect for him [Sanders], for what he stands for, but I don’t respect him saying that the Democratic Party has abandoned the working-class families. That’s where we are,’ Pelosi told the New York Times’ ‘The Interview’ podcast on Saturday.

Fox News Digital’s Emma Colton contributed to this report.

The ‘moral clarity’ that Rep. Elise Stefanik is bringing into her new role as the next U.S. ambassador to the United Nations will help fight the organization’s ‘hate and lies,’ Israel’s ambassador to the U.N. said Monday.

The appointment of the New York Republican by President-elect Donald Trump is one of the first personnel moves announced in the early days of his transition period.

‘Congratulations Rep. Elise Stefanik on your nomination as the next U.S. Ambassador to the U.N.,’ Israeli Ambassador Danny Danon wrote on X. ‘At a time when hate and lies fill the halls of the U.N., your unwavering moral clarity is needed more than ever.’

Danon is looking forward to ‘working closely with Elise Stefanik on tackling malicious lies at the U.N. advanced by hostile nations while staying unswervingly committed to truth and justice,’ Jonathan Harounoff, Israel’s U.N. spokesperson, told Fox News Digital.

Trump said in an earlier statement to the New York Post — which was the first to report on Stefanik’s nomination — that ‘Elise is an incredibly strong, tough, and smart America First fighter.’

Stefanik is currently the chairwoman of the House Republican Conference and is the fourth-highest ranking House Republican.

She was elected to her sixth term in the House last week and previously has made national headlines for grilling the presidents of Ivy League universities about the rising antisemitism on college campuses in the wake of the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks on Israel.

‘I am truly honored to earn President Trump’s nomination to serve in his Cabinet as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations,’ Stefanik told the New York Post. ‘During my conversation with President Trump, I shared how deeply humbled I am to accept his nomination and that I look forward to earning the support of my colleagues in the United States Senate. President Trump’s historic landslide election has given hope to the American people and is a reminder that brighter days are ahead – both at home and abroad.’

Good morning and welcome to this week’s Flight Path. Equities saw the “Go” trend continued this week and price gapped higher after some weaker aqua bars. We now see GoNoGo Trend painting strong blue bars at new highs. Treasury bond prices remained in a “NoGo” trend but the week ended with a weaker pink bar. The U.S. commodities index saw a strong end to the week as bright blue “Go” bars returned and the dollar likewise saw strength with strong blue “Go” bars the second half of the week.

$SPY Gaps Higher on Strong Blue “Go” Bars

The GoNoGo chart below shows that after some weakness that saw price fall from the last Go Countertrend Correction Icon (red arrow), price gapped higher on Wednesday and prices soared to new highs in the aftermath of the election. GoNoGo Oscillator was able to recover positive territory after having fallen into negative territory the week before. Now, with the oscillator in positive territory at a value 4 on heavy volume, we know that momentum is on the side of the “Go” trend once again.

A new higher weekly close was painted on the chart this past week. After a couple of consecutive lower closes after the recent Go Countertrend Correction Icon (red arrow), we saw price surge to a new higher close. GoNoGo Oscillator had been falling toward the zero level but reversed course sharply this week and is now breaching overbought territory at a value of 5. We will see how much higher price can go from here. We will look for it to at least consolidate at these levels going forward.

Treasury Rates Cool after Higher High

Treasury bond yields saw the “Go” trend continue this week but we saw a little weakness creep in with GoNoGo Trend painting an aqua bar. This comes after we saw a Go Countertrend Correction Icon (red arrow) indicating that price may struggle to go higher in the short term. We will watch to see if price finds support here and sets a new higher low. GoNoGo Oscillator has fallen to test the zero line from above and we know that if the “Go” trend is to remain healthy it should find support at that level. If it can rally back into positive territory then we will know that momentum is resurgent in the direction of the underlying “Go” trend.

The Dollar Jumps Higher

Last week we saw some weakness in the “Go” trend as the indicator painted a string of weaker aqua bars following a Go Countertrend Correction Icon (red arrow). This Icon warned us that price may struggle to go higher in the short term. As price fell from its most recent high, we turned our attention to the oscillator panel. GoNoGo Oscillator fell to test the zero level and quickly found support as volume increased (darker blue of oscillator line). Now, with price making new higher highs and GoNoGo Trend once again painting strong blue bars we know that momentum is resurgent in the direction of the “Go” trend.
