Recently retired All-Pro center Jason Kelce went viral for celebrating a touchdown by his brother Travis during the AFC divisional round game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills.

Kelce jumped out of a suite shirtless with a beer in his hand and yelled in celebration of the go-ahead touchdown late in the second quarter. After the Chiefs’ 27-24 victory to secure a sixth AFC conference championship appearance, the image of Kelce jumping out of the suite stuck with football fans nationwide, including a cookie shop in a Kansas City suburb.

Eileen’s Colossal Cookies is racking up requests for cookie cakes featuring a shirtless Kelce drawn in icing. The Liberty, Missouri-based shop had 100 orders to fulfill by Saturday, per local news outlet KCTV. The cookie cakes are 16-inches in diameter.

“I did not expect chest hair to be so appetizing,” Eileen’s Colossal Cookies store manager Hannah Stumpner told KCTV. “At this point we stopped officially taking orders because it’s crazy, it’s crazy.”

NFL STATS CENTRAL: The latest NFL scores, schedules, odds, stats and more.

It’s not just the chest-hair adorned cookies that are selling. The shop posted on their Facebook page Saturday afternoon that they’d been cleared out of everything in the store for the first time in the location’s seven years of business.

Store owner Kristen Uhlman told KCTV she delivered cookies to the Chiefs team ahead of Sunday’s AFC championship game. Included in the delivery was a Kelce-themed cookie cake for Travis and she hopes the brothers will share it.

Shirtless Jason Kelce wanted to break table at game

Kelce’s first time as a spectator in Buffalo nearly had more viral moments. He said during a recent episode of his ‘New Heights’ podcast that he wanted to break a table with the Bills Mafia pre-game but his wife Kylie convinced him otherwise.

‘He desperately wanted to go through a table,’ Kylie said in an interview with ‘Good Morning America’ posted on Friday. ‘It was on his checklist for the day, top priority of the day: go through table. He did not get a chance to do that.’

Jason Kelce carried young fan to meet Taylor Swift

“It was the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen,’ Piazza’s mother Jessica said. ‘She came back and started crying happy tears and it was so cool. He was so nice with her.”

The Chiefs are facing a tough test in the Baltimore Ravens for the AFC title game. No word yet on any pre-game antics but Jason Kelce and his wife Kylie will both be at M&T Bank Stadium for the game.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., is raising money by using political attacks against a top pro-Israel lobbying group in Washington.

In an email sent to supporters Thursday evening, Ocasio-Cortez sounded off about the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) endorsing challenger George Latimer against Rep. Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y., a fellow member of the leftist House group known as the ‘Squad.’

‘When right-wing megadonors attack one of us, they’re trying to silence our whole movement. And in this moment, standing strongly beside leaders calling for peace and humanity has never been more important,’ Ocasio-Cortez’s email says.

‘My friend Jamaal Bowman just officially announced his campaign for re-election. Help us show that we have the people power to beat his AIPAC-backed opponent by splitting a grassroots donation between our campaigns.’

AIPAC works with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle and is known for helping facilitate bipartisan trips to Israel, including a trip in August led by House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y.

That group has recently clashed with hardliners in the Democratic Party who have been critical of Israel’s response to the Oct. 7 Hamas attack, as well as the Biden administration’s support for Israel.

‘Jamaal’s opponent is an establishment, career politician — who yesterday was officially endorsed by AIPAC. The path to victory won’t be easy. AIPAC will launch millions of dollars of nasty attack ads,’ Ocasio-Cortez’s email states.

‘This is about justice. This is about community. This is about what we want the Democratic Party — and our democracy — to look like.’

When asked for comment about Ocasio-Cortez’s ad, an AIPAC spokesperson told Fox News Digital, ‘We proudly have endorsed George Latimer, who is aligned with President Biden’s pro-Israel stand, in clear contrast to his opponent in this race. An extremist anti-Israel fringe will not deter us from engaging in the democratic process to help elect candidates who support the Jewish state in its fight against Hamas barbarism.’

Westchester County executive George Latimer became the first non-incumbent AIPAC has endorsed this 2024 cycle. The group gave a statement to Jewish Insider on Thursday, saying, ‘We are proud to endorse George Latimer who — in clear contrast to his opponent — is strongly committed to strengthening the U.S.-Israel relationship and standing by our ally as it fights Hamas terrorism.’

Ocasio-Cortez called AIPAC an ‘extremist organization’ last November after the group criticized her and the nine other House lawmakers who voted against a resolution affirming support for Israel’s response to Hamas.

‘AIPAC endorsed scores of Jan 6th insurrectionists. They are no friend to American democracy. They are one of the more racist and bigoted PACs in Congress as well, who disproportionately target members of color,’ Ocasio-Cortez said on X at the time. ‘They are an extremist organization that destabilizes US democracy.’

EXCLUSIVE: The lone House Republican endorsing former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley for president is insisting he’s with the White House hopeful until the end, however the contentious race concludes.

‘I’ve had a lot of calls to abandon her — switch. Look, I’ll be with her as long as she stays there,’ Rep. Ralph Norman, R-S.C., told Fox News Digital Friday. ‘I don’t care that I’m just one. … I don’t care if the whole caucus says we ought to end it right now and get out. I’m just not gonna do that.’

Norman, a member of the ultra-conservative House Freedom Caucus, came out for Haley early in the race and has remained her only supporter in Congress. A handful of lawmakers had supported Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis before he dropped out, but the vast majority — more than 120 House Republicans — have so far backed former President Donald Trump.

Speaking with Fox News Digital days after Trump’s victory in the New Hampshire primary, Norman insisted the race was far from over. He noted it started with a field of more than a dozen candidates and is now down to two.

‘Look what she’s done. Name me one candidate in this race that started out with 2%, no money, and look at where she is now. She’s taken every challenge,’ Norman said. ‘And I will say this, being 25 years younger than President Trump, it’s gonna take work night and day to unwind the devastation this president has done.’

He criticized fellow Republicans who have pressured Haley to drop out, including Republican National Party Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel. He said McDaniel was ‘out of line’ calling for unity behind Trump.

‘That’s not her role,’ Norman said. ‘How is competition bad? What’s the rush?’

He also took a veiled shot at a fellow member of the South Carolina congressional delegation, Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., who dropped out of the running for president and endorsed Trump.

‘It surprised me with Tim Scott, particularly with not even calling her. But it is what it is,’ Norman said.

But unlike other Republicans who have been attacked by Trump and his allies for not falling in line fast enough — including fellow Freedom Caucus members — Norman has stayed out of the line of fire.

Norman pointed out he’s never criticized Trump and supported his actions in office. He also revealed that he called the ex-president before making his endorsement last February.

‘When I supported Nikki Haley, I had the respect of Donald Trump to call him, and I told him what I was gonna do, and I decided I was going to do it,’ he said.

He added that Haley is eligible for eight years, versus Trump, who could only serve one more term.

‘I know what she did South Carolina,’ Norman said. ‘I know what she can do to the country, and she can give us eight years.’

Norman did, however, push back on Trump declaring that Haley’s donors are ‘permanently barred from the MAGA camp.’

‘I think he’s making a mistake, saying that anybody that gives to Nikki is gonna be excluded from MAGA,’ Norman said. ‘I think he’s gonna need all the votes that it takes, as well as Nikki, any candidate. It’s gonna take a lot to beat whoever the Democratic nominee is, so I find it interesting that he’s doing that. But he’s smart. He can do his own campaign.’

Home mortgage rates have soared during the economic recovery from the pandemic, but the swelling ranks of homeowners facing steep interest payments this year may find some relief based on how they file their tax returns.

Thanks to the mortgage interest deduction, filers who choose to itemize their tax returns rather than take the standard deduction can deduct the entirety of their home interest payments in addition to taking other write-offs.

Some tax experts say that’s likely to be a more attractive option to more tax filers this season.

Atiya Brown, a certified public accountant and owner of The Savvy Accountant, said mortgage holders with with higher interest rate payments are more likely to get the most favorable returns by itemizing them, rather than taking the standard deduction, a comparison that she shows her clients.

“I definitely think that a lot more people are going to see the difference,” Brown said.

She added that she expects more filers will seek professional help this season. Choosing to itemize mortgage interest means having to itemize other sections of the tax returns as well, Brown said, which can add enough complexity to require an accountant.

The standard deduction is a specific dollar amount set each year by the IRS that filers can use to reduce their tax burden. It’s designed to save filers the time and resources often necessary to itemize deductions.

For the 2023 tax year, the standard deduction is $13,850 for single filers and $27,700 for married taxpayers filing jointly. But many homeowners could find the mortgage interest deduction a better option.

A single filer paying a 4% rate on a $500,000 home loan — equating to monthly interest payments of about $1,667, or $20,000 a year — could thus end up seeing substantial savings.

And many households are paying higher rates.

While mortgage rates have been falling since reaching a post-pandemic high of 7.8% last fall, the 30-year mortgage rate is currently still hovering above 6%.

Until the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, passed by Republicans in 2017, the mortgage interest deduction could be applied to the first $1 million of the loan for a single flier and $500,000 for married couples filing separately.

Today, it only applies to the first $750,000 of a typical mortgage loan for single filers, or $375,000 for married couples filing separately. The change was meant to allow more people to take the standard deduction, which the TCJA also increased.

But the relevant portion of the law expires in 2025 and would cause the limit to go back up to $1 million — and there is no sign yet that Congress will keep the current limit, according to the Bipartisan Policy Center.

Kenneth Chavis IV, a senior wealth adviser at Versant Capital Management, said that while many new homeowners may not be used to itemizing their deductions, they are now more likely than ever to reap tax benefits from doing so, assuming many are among those living with higher mortgage interest payments.

“Interest rates have skyrocketed — but more people will be eligible for (more) mortgage interest deduction,” especially newer homebuyers, Chavis said.

Principal payments and down payments cannot be deducted on your taxes. Nor can closing costs, appraisal fees or insurance.

Mortgages on rental properties also cannot be deducted if they are not the filer’s primary residence.

And only the portion of a home used for living can be counted toward the deduction. In other words, you cannot double-dip if you plan to take any home office tax write-offs.

However, both late payment and pre-payment penalties are in many cases deductible.

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — Eric Washington is returning to Chicago as the defensive coordinator for the Bears, with whom he began his NFL coaching career.

Washington spent the previous four seasons with the Buffalo Bills. He was promoted to assistant head coach/defensive line coach before this season.

“He is a great communicator with elite leadership skills and he will enhance our current defensive staff,” coach Matt Eberflus said Saturday in a news release announcing the move. “His track record speaks for itself with coordinator experience as well as expertise in the area of defensive line.”

Washington’s first NFL coaching job was with the Bears in 2008, serving as a defensive assistant. The Shreveport, Louisiana, native was promoted to defensive line coach in 2010.

Chicago had been without a defensive coordinator since Alan Williams resigned in September for what he said were personal reasons. Eberflus called the defensive plays after Williams departed two games into his second season with Chicago, and it remains to be seen what the arrangement is with Washington on the staff.

NFL STATS CENTRAL: The latest NFL scores, schedules, odds, stats and more.

Led by an improved defense, the Bears went 7-10 in Eberflus’ second season. They finished with a league-worst 3-14 record in 2022.

Washington, who played tight end in college at Grambling State, is beginning his second stint as a defensive coordinator in the NFL. He also held that position in Carolina from 2018-19, and the Panthers ranked second in the league in sacks with 53 in 2019.

Chicago also will have a new offensive coordinator next season, after it hired Shane Waldron on Tuesday. Waldron is stepping in for Luke Getsy, who was fired after two years.

MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) — Winning her first Grand Slam title in Australia a year ago gave Aryna Sabalenka the confidence she could do it again. Losing the U.S. Open final last September gave her the extra motivation.

No. 2-ranked Sabalenka clinched back-to-back Australian Open titles with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Zheng Qinwen on Saturday in a one-sided women’s final that contrasted sharply with her comeback three-set victory here over Elena Rybakina last year.

Sabalenka set the tone by breaking Zheng’s serve early in each set in a 76-minute victory over 21-year-old Zheng, who was making her debut in a Grand Slam final.

The journey and the destination were equally important for Sabalenka.

In the semifinals, she avenged her U.S. Open final loss to No. 4-ranked Coco Gauff with a straight-set win over the reigning major champion.

That followed straight-sets wins over 2021 French Open winner Barbora Krejcikova in the quarterfinals and Amanda Anisimova in the fourth round. She didn’t drop a set all tournament, and only one — a tiebreaker against Gauff — went past 10 games.

“I’m definitely a different person and a player and I have more experience playing the last stages of the Grand Slams,” Sabalenka said, reflecting on the last 13 months. “There was like some tough moments for me losing the U.S. Open final — that loss actually motivated me so much to work even harder.”

And that, she said, gave her more confidence in her game and more self-belief.

“The first one is always special because I feel like it’s more emotional,” she said. ‘For the second time, it’s just such a relief.

“I’ve been under a little pressure these two weeks and I’m super happy that I was able to handle this pressure and compete on such high level.”

Only two things slowed down Sabalenka’s progress Saturday to her second Grand Slam singles title.

In the third game of the second set, with Zheng serving, the match was interrupted after an activist started yelling out. The match continued after the man was escorted out by security.

Then, when she was serving for the match, Sabalenka had three championship points at 40-0 but missed two with wide or long forehands and another with Zheng’s clever drop shot.

After giving Zheng a breakpoint chance, she bounced the ball away behind her in disgust but she recovered her composure to win the next three points.

In the end, she needed five championship points before finishing off with a forehand crosscourt winner. It was the kind of shot that had kept Zheng on the back foot almost from the start.

Sabalenka is the first woman since Victoria Azarenka in 2012 and ’13 to win back-to-back Australian Open titles, and the fifth since 2000 to win the championship here without dropping a set — a group that includes Serena Williams.

A decade after Li Na won the Australian Open title, Zheng made her best run in nine majors to date. She said during the tournament that she felt well-supported in Melbourne because of the big Chinese community. And that played out for the final, where the flags waved and she had the crowd behind her.

But she was playing an opponent ranked in the top 50 for the first time in this tournament.

It was the second time in as many majors their paths had met in the second week. Sabalenka beat Zheng in the U.S. Open quarterfinals last year on her way to the final.

Zheng’s push to the final was two rounds better than her previous best run to the quarterfinals in New York last September.

She was the first player in four decades to advance through six rounds without playing anyone ranked in the top 50 — and was only the third in the Open era to reach a major final without facing a seeded player.

The step up against No. 2-ranked Sabalenka proved huge.

The Detroit Lions already snapped a dubious postseason record for longest active postseason win drought. Detroit (14-5) is still one of four teams to have never appeared in a Super Bowl.

But the San Francisco 49ers (13-5) have a drought they want to end as well.

The 49ers have won five Super Bowls in franchise history. However, San Francisco hasn’t hoisted a Lombardi Trophy since the 1994 season, despite appearing in three consecutive NFC championship games and four conference titles in the past five years, plus a Super Bowl 54 appearance.

They’ll get another shot if they beat Detroit for the NFC title Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET.

“You always feel after, whether you lose a NFC championship, whether you lose a Super Bowl . . . after that it’s like, oh my God, that took so much and was so long to get there. How can you ever do that again?” 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said. ‘That’s why you go through your own little depression for a day, a week, a couple months, whatever it is.”

NFL STATS CENTRAL: The latest NFL scores, schedules, odds, stats and more.

Shanahan is 1-2 in NFC championship games as 49ers’ head coach. Shanahan’s 49ers lost two consecutive conference championships, all on the road. Their last NFC championship victory was when they hosted the conference title game during the 2019 season.

Sure, the 49ers finished last year’s NFC championship game with no healthy quarterbacks on their roster, which had a massive impact on the team’s performance. But players who experienced last season’s NFC title game loss to the Philadelphia Eagles believe playing on the road as a lower seed also had an impact.

The 49ers went into this season on a mission to be the NFC’s No. 1 seed.

“The No. 1 seed is everything. It’s the easiest route to get to where you want to get. Having a first-week bye and only having to win two games to get into the Super Bowl versus having to win three games is huge,” 49ers defensive lineman Arik Armstead told USA TODAY Sports. “The year we did go to the Super Bowl in 2019, we were the No. 1 seed. I remember how crucial having that first-week bye was for us as a team. We were rolling heading into the playoffs. It’s definitely crucial.”

Will experience be a factor against a Lions franchise that snapped a 30-year playoff win drought just a few weeks ago?

“It could be used to our advantage. But my first NFC championship game back in 2019, was my first one. It was at home. I think more so the advantage is [to] play at home in front of our fans,” 49ers linebacker Fred Warner said. “Playing on our grass. Knowing exactly the environment that we’re playing in. That’s the advantage.”

The 49ers got what they wanted. They earned the top seed and are playing at home at Levi’s Stadium with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line. But the question is: Will finish what they set out to do and end their franchise’s Super Bowl win drought? Or will the Lions finally end theirs?

Add another NBA player to the short list of players who have scored at least 70 points in a game. Four days after Philadelphia 76ers MVP Joel Embiid scored 70, Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic had a 73-point game Friday against Atlanta.

Doncic’s effort equals the fourth-most points in a game in NBA history.

Eighteen years to the date from Kobe Bryant’s 81-point performance for the Los Angeles Lakers on Jan. 22, 2006, Embiid on Monday scored 70 points, becoming the ninth player to score at least 70 points in an NBA game.

Embiid’s previous scoring high was 59 points against Utah last season. Doncic’s previous scoring high was 60 points last season against the Knicks (he also had 21 rebounds and 10 assists for the triple-double that game). Embiid and Doncic are the third and fourth players, respectively, in the past two seasons to reach 70. Before the 2022-23 season, Devin Booker’s 70-point performance in 2017 was the only game with a player scoring 70 since David Robinson did it in 1994.

Recalling the NBA’s top individual scoring performances reminds me of one of my favorite Bryant stories. While doing a story on Wilt Chamberlain’s 100-point performance, I asked Bryant about his interactions with Chamberlain.

‘I was like 7 or 8,’ Bryant said of his introduction to Chamberlain. ‘My father (former NBA player Joe Bryant) introduced me to him. It was in McGonigle Hall at Temple University. My father said, ‘Kobe, I want to introduce you to somebody. He’s one of the greatest players of all time.’ I just looked at him and I go, ‘Bombaata.’ He’s Bombaata in ‘Conan the Destroyer.’ That’s the only thing I knew him as − Bombaata. He picks me up. It’s like the coolest thing ever. Wilt was a great sport about it.’

Here are the 15 times a players has scored at least 70 points in an NBA game:

Joel Embiid, 70 points, Jan. 22, 2024

In another MVP-caliber season for Embiid, the Philadelphia 76ers star reached 70 points against San Antonio. The Spurs had no answers for Embiid in Philadelphia’s 133-123 victory. Embiid connected on 24-of-41 shots from the field and 21-of-23 free throws. In a throwback game, he attempted just two 3-pointers, making one.

Devin Booker, 70 points, March 24, 2017

The Phoenix Suns star had 70 points in a 130-120 loss to Boston – 51 of those points came in the second half, including 28 in the fourth quarter.

Wilt Chamberlain, 70 points, March 10, 1963

This was the San Francisco Warriors’ Wilt Chamberlain’s final 70-point game of his career in a 163-148 loss to Syracuse. He went for 68 points four seasons later against Cincinnati where he was 30-for-40 from the field but just 8-for-22 on free throws.

Damian Lillard, 71 points, Feb. 26, 2023

Basketball has changed in so many ways, and the 3-point line is one of those game-shifting changes. In then-Portland star Lillard’s 71-point performance in a 131-114 victory against Houston, Lillard made 13 3-pointers, nine 2-pointers and 14 free throws.

Donovan Mitchell, 71 points, Jan. 2, 2023

Fantastic efficiency allowed Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell to score 71 in a 145-134 victory against Chicago. Mitchell was 22-for-34 from the field, 7-for-15 on 3s and 20-for-25 from the free throw line.

David Robinson, 71 points, April 24, 1994

It was a 16-year gap between 70-point games in the NBA. After David Thompson’s 73 points in 1978, no one scored 70 or more until the San Antonio Spurs Hall of Famer had 71 in a 112-97 victory against the Los Angeles Clippers. He made 27 of his 49 attempts from the field and 18 of 25 attempts from the free throw line.

Elgin Baylor, 71 points, Nov. 15, 1960

Los Angeles Lakers great Elgin Baylor was 28-for-48 from the field and 15-for-19 from the free throw line in a 123-108 victory against the Knicks. Baylor also had 25 rebounds.

Wilt Chamberlain, 72 points, Nov. 3, 1962

In the first 20 games of the 1962-63 season, Chamberlain scored at least 50 points 14 times, including 72 in a 127-115 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. Chamberlain, Jerry West (49 points) and Elgin Baylor (30 points) were just too much.

Luka Doncic, 73 points, Jan. 26, 2024

In the same week that Joel Embiid scored 70 points, Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic generated a 73-point performance in the Mavs’ 148-143 victory against Atlanta. Doncic made 25-of-33 shots, including 8-of-13 on 3-pointers, and connected on 15-of-16 free throw attempts. Doncic also had 10 rebounds and seven assists, and all told, he had a direct hand in 89 of Dallas’ points.

David Thompson, 73 points, April 9, 1978

By today’s standards, David Thompson had a short career – just nine seasons, seven with Denver and two with Seattle. But from an ABA season to his NBA seasons, Thompson was a bucket-getter. In this game, Thompson scored 73 against Detroit in the final game of the season as Thompson tried to edge San Antonio’s George Gervin for the regular-season season scoring title. Gervin scored 63 on the same day to win the scoring title 27.21 to 27.15.

Wilt Chamberlain, 73 points, Nov. 16, 1962

The Knicks were often on the receiving end of one of Chamberlain’s dominant performances – this time he had 73 points in a 127-111 victory.

Wilt Chamberlain, 73 points, Jan. 13, 1962

Chamberlain was on a tear that season, and his 73 points in the Philadelphia Warriors’ 135-117 victory against the Chicago Packers was one of 15 games that season where he scored at least 60 points.

Wilt Chamberlain, 78 points, Dec. 8, 1961

Just a few months before Chamberlain scored 100 points, he tagged the Lakers for 78 in a 151-147 triple-overtime loss. At the moment, it was the most points scored by a player in an NBA game. He also had 43 rebounds and played all 63 minutes.

Kobe Bryant, 81 points, Jan. 22, 2006

Lakers guard Kobe Bryant dropped 81 points on the Toronto Raptors – the closest anyone has come to Chamberlain’s record. Bryant played 42 of 48 minutes and had he played all 48 and attempted and made a few more shots (he was 28-for-46 from the field, 7-for-13 on 3-pointers and 18-for-20 on free throws), maybe he could’ve made a run at 100. In 2012, Bryant told USA TODAY Sports he had never watched a replay of the game. ‘There’s nothing I could have learned from that game,’ Bryant said. ‘It was just pure fluke, a freak of nature-type thing,’ and added, ‘If I did watch it, it would only (upset me) if I saw I really could have had 100.’ However, in 2013, he watched a replay and Tweeted, ‘Watching the game now, the easy shots I missed, I could of had 100 pts! #countonkobe.’

Wilt Chamberlain, 100 points, March 2, 1962

In what is considered one of more unbreakable records in sports, Philadelphia Warriors center Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points in a 169-147 victory against the New York Knicks. Chamberlain connected on 36-of-63 shots from the field and the notoriously average free throw shooter made 28-of-32 from the line. There is the famous photo of Chamberlain holding the hastily made ‘100’ sign but there is no known video available from the game played in Hershey, Pennsylvania. There is an audio recording from the radio broadcast.

The first major championship of the 2024 men’s tennis season will be awarded early Sunday (U.S. time) at the Australian Open in Melbourne.

No. 3 seed Daniil Medvedev takes on No. 4 seed Jannik Sinner in the final, which for the first time since 2005 does not feature Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal or Roger Federer. Neither finalist has ever won the Australian Open.

Sinner, a 22-year-old from Italy, defeated top-seeded Djokovic to reach his first Grand Slam final, breaking the 10-time champion’s unbeaten streak in the Australia Open semifinals. Sinner also is the youngest player in the final since Djokovic won his first title in 2008.

Russian star Medvedev, 27, defeated No. 6 Alexander Zverev and will play in his sixth Grand Slam final and third Australia Open final in the last four years.

In last year’s final, Djokovic won his fourth Australian Open title over a span of five seasons, and 10th overall. He did not compete in the 2022 Australian Open after he was deported because he was not vaccinated against COVID-19.
