A woman identified as a State Department employee has used social media to accuse President Biden and his administration of being ‘complicit in genocide’ toward the people in Gaza and warned that it could stifle his re-election chances in 2024.

Sylvia Yacoub, who has served for more than two years as a foreign affairs officer in the State Department’s Bureau of Near East Affairs, according to her LinkedIn page, has outspokenly shared her opinions on the matter through a variety of posts to X, formerly known as Twitter.

Yacoub used the platform to take aim at President Biden and his administration over its support for Israel in the country’s war against Hamas, though the posts have since been made private.

In a response Thursday to one of Biden’s posts on X, which highlighted his support for additional U.S. military aid to Israel, Yacoub ‘You are providing significantly more military assistance to the government that is indiscriminately attacking innocent Gazans….you are complicit in genocide.’

Another post from Yacoub last month accused Biden of supporting ‘genocide’ by showing his ‘absolute support’ to Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The president’s approach to situation, Yacoub said, has ‘resulted in the deaths of thousands’ in the Middle East.

‘Hey @POTUS — so long as you keep showing absolute support for Bibi with no clear, actionable redlines or calls for ceasefire, you continue to support genocide,’ Yacoub wrote. ‘Your rhetoric and approach from day one has resulted in the deaths of thousands. There is so much blood on your hands.’

Yacoub also targeted remarks from Vice President Kamala Harris earlier this week that highlighted the Biden administration’s efforts to counter Islamophobia.

‘This should have started with an apology from [the president] for contributing to the problem,’ Yacoub responded to Harris.

Yacoub, whose LinkedIn profile notes she worked on Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and served as an international associate for the fellows program at the Obama Foundation, went on to accuse Harris of lacking awareness about the situation following the vice president’s meeting with U.K. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

‘Embarrassingly out of touch @VP,’ Yacoub, according to Axios, wrote on Nov. 2 in a response to a tweet from Harris that highlighted the administration’s ‘support for Israel’s right to defend itself.’

The social media posts from Yacoub, whose X account was made private after her recent comments were highlighted in reports, also noted that Biden’s response to the war between Israel and Hamas could result in a loss of support from his base ahead of the 2024 election.

In response to a tweet from Biden that stated, ‘When rural America does well, all of America does well,’ Yacoub wrote: ‘Trying to ensure your bases vote for you after this mess?’

Yacoub on Oct. 31 also blasted the United States for its refusal to support a United Nations investigation into alleged Israeli war crimes.

‘What did you think was going to happen?’ Yacoub wrote in response to a X post by U.S. ambassador to the U.N. Linda Thomas Greenfield, who expressed concern over the significant uptick in violence against Palestinian civilians in the West Bank.’

‘A drastic uptick in violence started over a year ago ….. what did [U.S. government] do? Lead an aggressive campaign against the [U.N.’s] inquiry into the human rights abuses by the Israeli government,’ Yacoub added in the post.

Yacoub did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Another Oct. 29 post from Yacoub claimed the U.S. government ‘has never been on the right side of history, unless the perpetrator is a political enemy and the victims are conveniently placed or ‘relatable enough.’ The old guard must go.’

A State Department official told Fox News Digital that the agency did not have a ‘comment on someone’s personal Twitter feed,’ but highlighted the fact that Matthew Miller, a spokesperson for the executive department, has ‘spoken to the Department’s stance regarding the personal views and positions of its employees.’

‘We understand – we expect, we appreciate – that different people working in this department have different political beliefs, have different personal beliefs, have different beliefs about what United States policy should be. In fact, we think that’s one of the strengths of this government,’ Miller said during a State Department press briefing last month. ‘One of the strengths of this department is that we do have people with different opinions. We encourage them to make their opinions known. It, of course, is the President that sets policy, but we encourage everyone, even when they disagree with our policy, to let – to make their leadership know.’

Since the start of Israel’s war with Hamas, a handful of federal employees working in various agencies have been recognized for their anti-Israel stances.

Last month, Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., questioned Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas about one of his employees who praised terrorists, but still remains employed by the government.

Pressing Mayorkas on the issue and asking whether the employee had been fired, Mayorkas said the employee is currently on administrative leave, but insisted he would not speak on such an ongoing personnel matter, as Hawley asked why the social media posts were not a sufficient reason to remove her from her job.

The Russian military on Sunday reported that it successfully test launched an intercontinental ballistic missile designed to carry nuclear warheads from a new nuclear submarine.

The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement that the Imperator Alexander III strategic missile cruiser fired the Bulava missile from an underwater position in Russia’s northern White Sea, and hit a target in the far-eastern region of Kamchatka. It wasn’t immediately clear from the statement when the test launch occurred.

The missile is designed to carry up to six nuclear warheads, Reuters reported, citing the Federation of American Scientists. The Imperator Alexander III is one of the new Borei-class nuclear submarines that carry 16 Bulava missiles each and are intended to serve as the core naval component of the nation’s nuclear forces in the coming decades.

The report comes as tensions are soaring between Russia and the West over the fighting in Ukraine. Adding to those tensions, President Vladimir Putin last week signed a bill revoking Russia’s ratification of a global nuclear test ban in a move that Moscow said was needed to establish parity with the United States.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, launching a ballistic missile is the final test for the vessel, after which a decision should be made on its induction into the fleet.

The Russian navy currently has three Borei-class submarines in service, one more is finishing tests and three others are under construction, the Defense Ministry said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has increased military spending since rising to power in 1999, according to Reuters. He has been working toward rebuilding Russia’s nuclear and conventional forces since the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991. With tensions between Moscow and the West at their worst since the Cold War, Putin last month held out the possibility that Russia could resume nuclear testing for the first time in more than three decades.

‘Relations are at zero – or I would say below zero,’ Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview aired on Sunday of U.S.-Russian relations, though adding that leaders from both nations would have to resume contact at some point. ‘Putin has repeatedly stated that he is ready for any contacts.’

Russian media has reported that the Kremlin is planning to build a total of 10 to 12 Borei-class submarines to be divided between the Northern and Pacific fleets.

State media disclosed three more Borei-class submarines are being built: the Knyaz Pozharsky, the Dmitry Donskoy and the Knyaz Potemkin, and two additional boats are also planned.

Russian sources told Reuters that the Imperator Alexander III is the seventh of the Russian Project 955 Borei (Arctic Wind) class nuclear submarines and the fourth of the modernized Borei-A variant. Sources say they are known in NATO as the Dolgoruky class of submarines, after the first boat – the Yuri Dolgoruky – became the first new generation of nuclear submarine launched by Russia since the Cold War.

House Oversight Chair James Comer said the Biden family will be served with ‘two dozen’ subpoenas in the coming days related to the family’s overseas business dealings.

‘I think you’re gonna see swift action on Biden and I would predict somewhere around two dozen subpoenas in the very near future,’ Comer, R-Ky., told Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo on ‘Sunday Morning Futures.’

Comer is leading the House investigation into Hunter Biden’s foreign business entanglements and looking to determine what role President Biden may have played in any dealings. Republicans allege the president has financially benefited from business deals made by his family members with foreign nations.

Last week, Comer said that in 2017, President Biden received $40,000 in ‘laundered China money’ from the bank account of his brother and his sister-in-law in the form of a personal check.

Biden has repeatedly denied any involvement with his son’s business dealings.

‘We’ve always planned on doing that,’ Comer told Bartiromo when asked if the Kentucky Republican plans on questioning Hunter and Joe Biden and ‘getting subpoenas out.’

‘This has been a painful process, Maria. We’ve been obstructed. We’ve been followed at every turn, not just by the Bidens’ big money attorneys, but also by the federal government. The IRS is obstructed. The DOJ is obstructed. The Treasury has obstructed. FBI has obstructed, and the Democrats on the House Oversight Committee have pretty much been the Biden legal defense team,’ he said.

Comer said the other House oversight members can ‘connect the dots’ on a series of financial transactions between the president and his family members that he said amount to ‘money laundering.’

‘This was very organized. And the reason they did these complicated transactions, was to disguise the source of the revenue and to deceive the IRS from paying taxes,’ he said.

Comer argued that in the coming weeks, the Biden family will claim the funds were loans ‘because you don’t have to report loans on your taxes.’

‘If you’re the IRS and you’re just looking at someone’s taxes, you would never know that Joe Biden got two checks for loan repayments – $200,000 and $40,000,’ Comer said.

‘You wouldn’t know about all the money that we’re going to show that James Biden took in and Hunter Biden took in from loans. It’s an integral part of money laundering, where you deceive from the IRS about the revenue you’re taking. In other words, you’re a tax cheat.’

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., on Saturday said she plans to reintroduce a resolution to censure Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., over comments on the war in Gaza after her previous one failed to get enough votes in the House.

‘I’m reintroducing my censure resolution against Terrorist Tlaib,’ Greene wrote on X, formerly Twitter. ‘I am removing ‘insurrection’ and replacing it with ‘illegal occupation’ on Oct 18th that broke the same federal laws as Jan 6 and led to hundreds of arrest and assault on Cap Police.’

Greene was referring to a pro-Palestinian rally Tlaib attended during which activists took over much of the ground floor at the Cannon House Office Building.

Greene posted a photo of the 23 Republicans who voted against censuring Tlaib, calling them out as voting ‘no to censure Pro-terrorists Pro-Hamas Anti-Israel anti-Semitic Rashida Tlaib.’

She wrote that she hoped they ‘will use their freedom of speech in congress to censure (condemn) Terrorist Tlaib’s speech, lies, and actions that incited an illegal occupation on Oct 18th.’

She added, ‘They censured Adam Schiff so they should be able to vote to censure her. We can not stand by doing nothing while one of our colleagues calls for the genocide of our great friend and ally Israel. Terrorist Tlaib should be expelled but let’s see if we can at least censure her.’

Greene included something Tlaib wrote on X Friday that said, ‘From the river to the sea is an aspirational call for freedom, human rights, and peaceful coexistence, not death, destruction, or hate. My work and advocacy is always centered in justice and dignity for all people no matter faith or ethnicity.’

The phrase ‘from the river to the sea’ was deemed a ‘code for eradicating’ Israel by the Anti-Defamation League.

RASHIDA TLAIB DEFENDS PHRASE ANTISEMITISM WATCHDOG DEFINED AS ‘CODE FOR ERADICATING’ ISRAEL

Tlaib has also accused President Biden of ‘supporting the genocide of the Palestinian people’ in the administration’s backing of Israel on the war.

The war started on Oct. 7 when Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel.

Thousands have been killed in Israel and Gaza.

Hamas has also taken hundreds of hostages, according to the Israeli Defense Forces.

Tlaib called Greene’s effort to censure her ‘unhinged’ and ‘deeply Islamophobic’ in a statement.

‘I am proud to stand in solidarity with Jewish peace advocates calling for a ceasefire and an end to the violence. I will not be bullied, I will not be dehumanized, and I will not be silenced.’

She added that she would continue to call for a ceasefire, for all of the hostages to be released and ‘for every American to be brought home.’

Greene has also been accused of making antisemitic remarks in the past.

Former President Trump said people who want to abolish Israel shouldn’t be allowed to enter America.

Trump made the comments during the Florida Freedom Summit on Saturday, where other 2024 GOP presidential contenders also spoke, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Sen. Tim Scott, North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Vivek Ramaswamy.

‘If you hate America, if you want to abolish Israel, if you sympathize with jihadists, and then you don’t want your country to do well, you don’t want your country to be successful, you’re just not going to get in, you’re not getting in, you’re not coming into our country,’ Tump said.

Trump also proposed ideological screening for immigrants.

‘On day one, I will restore the Trump travel on entering from having people that like to blow up our shopping centers and kill our people and do lots of bad things. Entry from plagued countries. We will not allow people to come in and will implement strong ideological screening for all immigrants,’ Trump said.

Trump called for ideological screening for immigrants during his 2016 campaign as well, stating that ‘extreme vetting’ needs to be in place.

‘We should only admit into this country those who share our values and respect our people,’ Trump said in 2016. ‘The time is overdue to develop a new screening test for the threats we face today.’

Trump’s comments come after he promised to deport immigrants who are publicly supporting Hamas during an Iowa campaign speech Oct. 16.

‘We aren’t bringing in anyone from Gaza,’ Trump also said at the event.

A White House fence was vandalized Saturday night with red paint as pro-Palestinian protesters shook the gate to one entrance to the executive mansion as some chanted ‘F–k Joe Biden,’ the New York Post reported.

Later in the evening, protesters were seen attempting to climb up the White House’s wrought-iron gates.

The demonstrators also covered the General Marquis de Lafayette Statue in nearby Lafayette Park with graffiti and Palestinian flags, according to social media posts.

The protesters were rallying against the Biden administration’s support of Israel in the war against Hamas. Some outside the White House were heard chanting ‘F–k Joe Biden.’

Video shared by the Daily Caller showed a protester, waving a Palestinian flag, climb half-way up the fence of the White House.

Fellow demonstrators cheered and continued chanting, ‘Free, free Palestine,’ in unison.

Demonstrators also chanted, ‘Allahu akbar’ and ‘Cease-fire now!’

The U.S. Secret Service said everything was addressed without incident.’

‘Demonstrators are beginning to disperse from the area and the attempted gate trespass from earlier was handled without incident by Secret Service Uniformed Division officers and support teams,’ Anthony Guglielmi, chief of communications for the Secret Service, said. ‘As of now, no arrests have been made by Secret Service personnel.’

Fox News Digital has reached out to the White House for comment.

The war in Gaza started on Oct. 7 when Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel. Thousands have died on both sides since then.

Watch:

‘We came here to let our voices be heard and our hearts and hoping we’ll change the way people see this conflict,’ demonstrator Manar Ghanayem told the Washington Post. ‘Every human is entitled to basic human rights, not killing kids, not torturing people,’ she said.

Ron Halber, executive director for the Jewish Community Relations Group, told the Post, the demonstrators ‘are wholeheartedly supporting a homicidal terrorist organization that slaughtered 1,400 Israelis in cold blood and has taken numerous civilians hostage including from our own country. They are just incredibly misguided, uninformed and reactionary, and history will judge they have put themselves on the side of supporting terrorists versus a democracy trying to defend itself.’

New York Rep. Jamaal Bowman, a Democrat, is calling for a ‘clear distinction’ to be made between Israel’s citizens and the country’s government as there has been a rising number of cases of antisemitism in the U.S. and around the world amid the war between Israeli forces and Hamas terrorists.

Bowman explained that people can hold the Israeli government accountable while also standing with the Jewish people against hate and antisemitism.

‘The Israeli government is not representative of the Jewish people. Those are two different things,’ the congressman said in a video posted to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. ‘And so when I criticize the Israeli government, I’m not criticizing Jewish people. When I’m criticizing the Myanmar government, I’m not criticizing Buddhists. When I’m criticizing Saudi Arabia, I’m not criticizing Muslims. When I criticize the U.S., I’m criticizing the U.S. government.’

‘Because our governments have to do better for its people as opposed to using our people and our trauma and our grief and our suffering for their own power,’ he continued.

More than 10,000 people have been killed in Gaza and Israel since Hamas launched its largest attack against the Jewish State in decades on Oct. 7, leading to retaliatory action from Israeli forces. Thousands more have been wounded, and many others have been taken hostage by Hamas and raped, tortured and murdered.

Bowman is among several progressive Democrats who have been critical of the Israeli government since its war against Hamas began. A proposal to censure Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., over comments critical of Israel failed to pass last week.

The New York congressman co-sponsored a resolution last month with more than a dozen other progressive House members calling for a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas. Bowman was also one of the more than 20 House members, which included one Republican, who voted against a separate resolution calling on administrators at U.S. universities to condemn antisemitism on their campuses and to ensure that Jewish faculty and students can exercise free speech without intimidation.

In his video on Saturday, Bowman also urged the Biden administration to ensure that Israel is following international law in its war against Hamas.

‘I think when we’re having the conversation about human rights and international law, we have to have honest conversations, and we have to hold even our allies accountable when they are violating international law,’ Bowman said. ‘I think the U.S. hasn’t done a good enough job of that.’

The Biden administration has strongly supported Israel in its war against Hamas, including backing its right to defend itself and pledging billions in aid. Last week, the administration called for a ‘humanitarian pause’ in the war to assist civilians in Gaza.

‘Yes, we want [Israel] to be our allies. Absolutely. They have a right to defend themselves and to self-determination,’ Bowman said. ‘The Palestinians have that same right.’

Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., said Saturday that U.S. policy toward Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ‘doesn’t add up’ as Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists continues.

Omar has been critical of Israel’s government since Hamas launched its surprise attack against the Jewish State on Oct. 7.

‘U.S. policy is essentially that Netanyahu has no achievable goals in Gaza and a ground invasion risks regional war, including potential US troops. And also we should give him $14 billion in weapons with no restrictions, and say there are no red lines as he bombs refugee camps,’ Omar wrote Saturday on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

‘See how this doesn’t add up?’ she added.

More than 10,000 people have been killed in Gaza and Israel since Hamas launched its largest attack against Israel in decades on Oct. 7, leading to retaliatory action from Israeli forces. Thousands more have been wounded, and many others have been taken hostage by Hamas and raped, tortured and murdered.

Omar is among more than a dozen progressive Democrats in the House to have co-sponsored a resolution last month calling for a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas. She was also one of the more than 20 House members who voted against a separate resolution calling on administrators at U.S. universities to condemn antisemitism on their campuses and to ensure that Jewish faculty and students can exercise free speech without intimidation.

Last week, the White House called for a ‘humanitarian pause’ in the war between Israel and Hamas to allow aid into Gaza, but it has argued against a cease-fire. The Biden administration has strongly supported Israel in its war against Hamas, including backing its right to defend itself and pledging billions in aid.

Netanyahu told U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken in a meeting on Friday that Israel ‘refuses a temporary cease-fire that does not include the release of our hostages. Israel will not enable the entry of fuel to Gaza and opposes sending money to the Strip,’ The Times of Israel reported.

Omar’s comments come after fellow progressive Rep. Rashida, D-Mich., criticized Biden in a video posted to X on Friday, in which she accused the president of ‘support[ing] the genocide of the Palestinian people’ for his administration’s support for Israel. A proposal to censure Tlaib over several statements critical of Israel failed to pass last week.

Last week’s sharp upward reversal in the bond market followed the FOMC Interest Rate decision. A decision to not change the Fed Funds Interest Rate target. Unlike the prior meeting ‘non-action’, this decision inspired robust bond and stock buying by the investment community. The downward stride of bond prices this year has been punishing to bond portfolio valuations. The regional bank crisis in the spring of this year dramatically illustrated the problem. Bond prices calmed into the beginning of summer, but trouble heated up again with the start of a new downward leg of the bond bear market. Was there a warning that a new downtrend was starting, and how far down could bond prices fall?

For this trend study we turn to the iShares U.S. Treasury Bond 7-10 Year ETF (IEF). Treasuries rallied following the trouble in the banking sector in March. Essentially in the 2nd Quarter of ’23 a new wave of Distribution formed preparing the way for a future downward trend for bond prices. In the month of June Distribution was nearly complete as demonstrated by a very flat price structure below key Support, with no ability for price to lift. Wyckoffians call this ICE when it develops following Distribution. The Supply Trendline established the likely pace of the emerging downward stride. Once a downtrend kicks off it must be respected for the force of nature it is.

At this time a range-bound condition is likely underway. The sharp sudden rally has good demand and short covering characteristics. Stock investors were bullishly inspired by the ripping reversal. The deep pessimism into recent lows for stocks and bonds is indicative of investors being positioned with high cash levels and short exposure. Fuel for a rally that appears to have kicked-off this past week.

Power Charting TV:

Power Charting Episode for November 3, 2023: Is the Correction Over for Stocks?

Trading isn’t easy. It requires knowledge, experience, patience, discipline, risk management, preparation, research, and sometimes just old-fashioned good luck! After recognizing several cautious signals back in July, EarningsBeats.com suggested exercising patience to get us through whatever lied ahead. Well, hindsight now tells us that it was a correction. From high to low, here are how our major indices and sectors fared:

Look at where the relative weakness was found throughout this correction. 3 of the bottom 4 sectors were defensive groups – XLP, XLRE, XLU. These are “safety” sectors. One aggressive sector (XLC) outperformed all others. Two others – XLF and XLK – were “middle of the pack”. This correction did NOT see a mass exodus away from aggressive stocks.

Before I go any further, let me show you the difference during the 2022 cyclical bear market. Here’s how our major indices and sectors performed from the start of this bear market in early-January 2022 through late-February 2022:

Check out the bottom index and also the 3 bottom sectors. Doesn’t that tell us a little different story? There was mass exodus OUT of key aggressive areas. Why? Because Wall Street had no interest in these groups and rotated away from them as the big firms saw further weakness ahead. That same message does not apply to this correction and that’s one big reason why I kept saying we were going to see a very strong Q4 once this selling ended.

Could last week have sent a more powerful message? Here’s how our 11 sectors performed during that massive buying spree:

So on the way down, the aggressive sectors held their own. But on the first significant rally, our 5 aggressive sectors – XLK, XLY, XLC, XLI, XLF – were all in the top 6 sectors. Only the ridiculously-oversold real estate sector beat these aggressive areas. Again, the story that this relative price action is telling us is that the prior selling episode was temporary is now OVER! It’s just a matter of whether you prefer to listen to CNBC or the charts. I’ll take the latter, thank you very much.

I wanted to give you the backdrop of the market environment the last 3 months – as I saw it. There are plenty of other signals I use to call likely market direction, but relative performance is a big one. Recently, I shared with members how difficult it’s been for me to trade individual stocks since July. I haven’t traded a lot, but when I have, it usually ended poorly. That changed in a big way this past week. I stuck mostly with ETFs tracking the major indices, but I re-introduced leveraged ETFs to take full advantage of last week’s surge. Patience is key to maximizing returns and outperforming the benchmark S&P 500.

My best individual stock trade last week was easily NVIDIA Corp (NVDA). There were 2 important developments that created an absolutely awesome trading opportunity. The first one was the hammer candlestick that formed on Tuesday:

A hammer with an intraday breakdown below key price support is powerful. But perhaps even more powerful is NVDA’s seasonality. As most of you probably know, I’m a stock market historian and am well aware of seasonal patterns on our major indices. Well recently, I decided to take it another step further and analyze key trends in many individual stocks. What I found was AMAZING! Perhaps the craziest stat I found on NVDA is that it LOVES its earnings months. That sets it apart from most large cap stocks, because most large companies report quarterly results in the first month of each calendar quarter. So the norm is to report during January, April, July, and October. But NVDA is different and reports during the second month of every calendar quarter. That means its earnings are released during February, May, August, and November (green-shaded areas above). Of all the individual stocks that I analyzed, NVDA had the strongest average annual return at 59.83%. That’s amazing in itself, but listen to this. NVDA’s annualized return for its 4 earnings months are its 4 best of the year. Check out these annualized returns:

February: +82.25%May: +117.69%August: +80.31%November: +96.89%

Sounds like 4 pretty decent months to own NVDA historically. Knowing this information and then seeing that October 31st hammer at major price support and just before its historical November strength suggested an excellent time to enter this trade. So I entered. NVDA shot up nearly 50 bucks over the past three trading days. That’s the potential power when you combine (1) a bullish technical setup with (2) a bullish seasonal period. There are also bullish tendencies for ALL stocks during the early part of calendar months.

Listen, EVERY SINGLE TRADER should know basic historical tendencies regarding the monthly calendar. It will help in your trading. You’ll also find these trading patterns to be simply amazing!
